Visit to the wild west
Now it's been a while since I wrote for the last time here, but that doesn't mean that I stopped taking photos. I just returned from the Canary Islands, a wonderful place to have some rest and relax. The island has so much to offer, besides great food, weather and beaches, Gran Canaria has something quite unique, something that I never saw before. I'm talking about Sioux City park - a complete village that takes you back in time to experience the life on the wild west. The journey starts already on the bus that picks you up from the hotel. You are being welcomed by an undertaker entering the bus. After half an hour driving, you arrive at your destination point, and you get an impression that you traveled miles away to another part of the world. The village looks like in the western movies. Sandy road in the middle, and on both sides of the road stand all the buildings that every western village needs - you have a bank, jail, saloon, sheriff's office, church and of course the office of the undertaker. In the beginning, everything seems to be abandoned and you think you've already seen most of it. But you are so wrong because the show is just going to begin.
You can experience here a real bank robbery, with shooting fighting, drama and happy ending. Everything happens on the main street, they even do stunts for instance by falling from the roof after being shot. Everything looks surprisingly realistic and you really get a feeling that it's happening for real. In the Saloon, you can experience a bar fight between two cowboys that fight over a girl, with a bartender that shoots from behind the bar. Again everything very realistic and entertaining. If you're a fan of the series "Westworld" it's definitely a place for you to visit, you will feel like you're in the middle of the movie. The location is so photogenic you can make some great photos, but in this case, it's just a bonus because the visit to the village is a wonderful experience by itself.
